Claytex will exhibit and run a Simulation Workshop at the UK Intelligent Engineering Forum 2018 (UKIEF) taking place at the AMTC in Coventry on 25th April 2018.
A unique annual event, the UK intelligent Engineering Forum combines the very latest engineering software, inspirational speakers and implementation experts, aiming to deliver a flagship technology and best practice process event together with a unique networking opportunity for companies building their own Intelligent Engineering systems.
Meet with Claytex
During the Forum, we will focus on the use of Dymola, rFpro and VeSyMA (Vehicle Systems Modelling and Analysis) suite of solutions. UKIEF
on our stand we will be showcasing how rFpro and Dymola can be used to support the development of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and autonomous cars. Using rFpro to provide the virtual test environment we can support driver-in-the-loop and provide data feeds to the array of sensors (cameras, LiDAR, radar and ultrasound) all based off the same high-fidelity track model. Workshop:
Model-Based Systems Engineering — 14:00 – 14:45
What to expect:
Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is the application of modelling to support the complete design process, starting from the concept phase and throughout the development process. A key enabler for MBSE is having a simulation tool that allows you to define the architecture of the system, capture the requirements, the interfaces, the functions and the physics of the product under development. This workshop will introduce Dymola, from Dassault Systemes, which is a proven modelling and simulation tool that is used for MBSE.
Dymola is a component orientated, physical modelling and simulation tool that covers many different engineering domains. It has application libraries for mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems, batteries, internal combustion engines, gearboxes and much more. These libraries are created using the Modelica modelling language which is an open language for modelling complex systems. Dymola is available as a standalone tool as well as being fully integrated into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The workshop will introduce some of the core capabilities of Dymola and illustrate through live demos some of the capabilities of the tool to model complex multi-domain systems and reuse models for many different types of analysis.
