Dassault Systemes have announced the availability of a new version of Dymola. The key highlights of Dymola 2022 release are:

Additions and improvements in Dymola
- Support for Modelica Language Specification 3.5
- Cross-compilation for Linux on Windows
- Improvements of plotting
- Better support for including translation settings and output settings in scripting
- Setting maximum run time for running simulation
- Option to activate the transient mode to reach steady-state
- Support for Intel compilers is discontinued from this release
- Last Dymola version supporting dymosim DLL
- FMI support improvements
- New white paper ‘Exploring Model Structure with Equation Incidence’
Model editing
- Fine-grained control of what signals are expected in an FMU
Simulation
- Possible to terminate simulation after max run-time, even if stuck in external mode
- Run simulation until all transitions damp out
- Plot bar charts and area charts, or externally generated contents including HTML
Environment
- Support for windows Subsystem for Linux (compilation, FMU cross-compilation)
- Follows the latest Modelica language specification and MSL 4.0.0
