Aerospace Industry simluation and multi domain engineering solutions

Aerospace multi-domain engineering technology is helping research and development teams with ground-effect machines, helicopters, aircraft and spacecraft. Design of these vehicles has always been challenging, because they operate in potentially hostile environments, and also because they have to be lightweight, efficient and reliable. These same requirements apply not only to future spacecraft and high performance transport aircraft, but also to the next generation of ground transportation, such as high-speed trains, cars, over-water transportation, sport vehicles.

Aerospace engineering is a field where state-of-the-art technologies are applied every day; physical sciences, mathematics and computers are combined in the design of air and space vehicle systems and components to achieve high performance with limited size and weight. This requires aerospace engineers to constantly develop and apply the most advanced technologies.

Dymola multi-domain modelling means faster development and more efficient products and solutions for this challenging and highly competitive and advanced engineering environment.

The pressure to produce more efficient aircraft with a lower environmental impact is growing and this is driving the need to look at new alternative technologies to improve efficiency.  The optimisation of the aircraft as a complete system will also drive improvements in efficiency through improvements in energy management, actuator sizing and ultimately aircraft weight.

Within Europe the Clean Sky project is aiming to investigate new technologies touching on all the aircraft systems to accelerate new, greener designs.  Clean Sky will demonstrate and validate the technology breakthroughs that are necessary to make major steps towards the environmental goals sets by ACARE.
