Claytex experience in Dymola is second to none
Claytex is the exclusive distributor of Dymola multi-domain engineering modelling and simulation software in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Ireland and South Africa .
The company sells software licenses and offers training and specialist simulation consultancy services to the aerospace, automotive and energy industries.
Mike Dempsey, managing director
Mike has been working with Dymola and Modelica since 1999 on a wide range of projects for Automotive, Motorsport/F1, Energy and Aerospace customers.
Mike founded Claytex more than 10 years ago driven by the exciting opportunities, cost savings and reduced development times that modelling and simulation software can offer companies. He is now one of the world’s technical experts for Dymola and Modelica and is responsible for sales, marketing and operation of reseller and consulting services.
Previously Mike worked at the Rover Group on power-train simulation strategy development and introduced new simulation methods to Rover using Matlab Simulink and Dymola and at Ford he used in-house performance and economy prediction software to analyse new vehicles and track the changes through the life of the project. Mike is a graduate from Loughborough University.
Dymola multi domain engineering and simulation software
Dymola is the fast way to better products for the automotive, aerospace and energy industries. Its reputation as a world leading multi-domain modelling and simulation tool has been as much about the years we taken off product development as the years we’ve put into helping engineering teams see a bigger picture – a joined up, seamless understanding of vehicle architecture, driveline dynamics, powertrain simulation, systems engineering, hardware and driver in the loop, control system design, driveability, mechatronics, HIL simulation and real time simulation. So whether you’re looking for fast development for an F1 team, hybrid vehicle development or you’re developing new products and systems to develop the next generation of renewable energy products, Claytex can help you achieve results.
Dymola is a multi-domain modelling and simulation tool that supports the Modelica modelling language. And to get you and your engineering teams moving fast, we’ve developed a wide range of model libraries including engines, transmissions, drivelines, vehicle dynamics, electric drives, control systems, hydraulics, air-conditioning just to mention a few. Dymola has full support for the Modelica modelling language providing the user with access to the model equations and the freedom to add their own models.
Dymola uses a physical component orientated modelling method that provides the engineer with a convenient way to create the schematic of a multi-domain system. This schematic is then transformed in to efficient simulation using symbolic manipulation. Using symbolic manipulation it is possible to transform the schematic in to efficient real-time simulation code for use on HIL systems.
Consulting and training
Claytex is the UK’s leading domain expert in Dymola and Modelica multi-domain engineering solutions. As a result, Claytex is the exclusive distributor of Dymola in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Ireland and South Africa.
Our experienced engineers support industry and university programmes with expertise in physical modelling, developing engineering libraries, quick start product development and simulation.
We can provide a resource to deliver the right balance of training and onsite project assistance to get you up and running with Dymola quickly so you get real business benefits quickly. We’ve helped transform product development programmes, product improvement and new product design for some of the world’s most respected organisations.
If you need extra resource to meet your project demands we can supply engineering and software expertise either by supplying a resource to work on-site alongside your own engineering team or by taking the complete project to Claytex engineering offices in the engineering heart of the United Kingdom, the Midlands.
